Web Publishing

InDesign CS3 lets you create Web pages from your layouts, for use in Web editors such as Adobe Dreamweaver and Bare Bones SOftware's BBEdit. The eported files will not be replicas of your layout but XHTML-format pages that contain links to the source imgaes (converted for you during export) and to the CSS file that defines the text appearance (style names in your document are converted to CSS names, but the formatting itself is not exported).

Although InDesign CS and CS2 do not let you create Web pages directly, you can export InDesign documents to XML format for use in Adobe GoLive.

There are tons of online sites with Web, HTML, and CGI content, but most are really fronts for script sales operations. It's best to get a good book and use an online manual from one of the many university sites that make them available at no charge. Here are the resources I recommend:
